Castles in Estonia
The Kadriorg palace is a great example of Baroque architecture. Untill nowadays authentic 18th century interiors of rooms and vestibule in the main building is preserved. The Kadriorg palace is well known not only in Estonia, but also in the whole Northern part of Europe.
The Toompea castle situated in the central part of Tallinn stands on the hill of Toompea Hill which in folklore is also called tumulus. It is a limestone hill but according to the legend this hill was heaped up by Linda who‘s husband Kalev was buried there. Linda carried stone by stone, mourning for husband and so the hill outgrew.
Narva Castle is one of the main sights to visit in Narva as it captivates with the majestic construction, interesting stories and also you will get a scenery of two castles fascing eatch other since Russian Ivangorod Castle is located at the opposite side of the river.
